Step 1: Call TAC and log a claim. Before you log a claim first get free advice from one of our expert TAC lawyers, as to what you should or shouldn’t say.

Step 2: TAC will usually send investigators unannounced to your home and pressure you to sign a statement. Do not sign any statement until you obtain advice as you may not be in the right state of mind to do so.

Step 3: TAC may not accept a claim unless it’s lodged within 1 year from the date of accident and it won’t accept any claim after 3 years. If the claim is lodged outside of 12 months you will need advice as TAC will require a reasonable explanation from you.
